Two legendary Strictly Come Dancing stars are set to dazzle the crowds at a Coventry fundraiser.

Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag take to the floor at the Double Tree by Hilton, in Walsgrave , on May 10 for the NSPCC.

The event is being held by the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Board to raise funds to support the running of the Boole House, which supports vulnerable young people across Coventry and Warwickshire.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Anton and Erin to Coventry for this very special fundraiser,” said Les Ratcliffe, chair of the board.

“It will be an action-packed evening with masses of entertainment but also a very serious side which will underline the work of the NSPCC both nationally and in our particular area.

“Boole House does superb work in helping vulnerable children and we are proud to help it fulfil its vital role.

“I’d like to thank all of the sponsors who have signed up for this year and I hope they all enjoy the event.”

The event, which is sponsored by UK Flooring Direct & Dovetail, is expected to attract more than 240 guests.

Tickets include a three-course dinner and entertainment, and meet-and-greet packages are also available, giving ballroom fans the opportunity to meet the dancing duo face-to-face.

In the past 21 years the business board has raised in excess of £2.8 million to protect vulnerable children in the local area.

The Strictly event is expected to raise around £20,000, bringing the board’s anticipated fundraising total for 2018 to more than £150,000 – ever closer to the £3 million mark.

Hamilton Bland, chair of events committee of the Coventry and Warwickshire Business Board, added: “We have had some excellent support over the years from the local business community in Coventry and Warwickshire, and this looks set to continue for our latest event.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to Strictly Anton and Erin, and all those who attend will be helping a very worthy cause.”
