To mark its 50th birthday, Nuneaton Pantomime Revue society (NRPS) is to stage the musical ‘Anything Goes.’

Directed by Liz Lloyd, the show will feature the society’s talented cast.

Audiences can expect to sing along with famous songs ‘it's delovely’ and ‘blow Gabriel blow’ directed by David Lloyd

The musical show follows the story of passengers aboard an ocean liner on its journey from New York to London.

Andy Hardy, chairman of the society said: “It is guaranteed to be an evening of high class song and dance, set aboard the cruise ship SS America.

“Featuring the timeless classic tunes of Cole Porter you will experience an evening of the highest quality comedy musical theatre"

Nuneaton Pantomime Revue society is one of the oldest amateur dramatics clubs in the area and has been performing shows across the region since 1964 after its founding members Beryl Millington, Bernice Greening, Les Millington, Madge & Sid Knight, Stan & Iris Smith and David Clifford decided to form the group.

Since then the group has gone strength to strength and in recent years has produced a number of amateur musicals such as ''South Pacific'' and ''Oliver'' and modern day titles like ''Me & My Girl'' and ''Copacabana.''

The society now perform two shows a year at the Civic Hall in Bedworth, after moving to the venue 30 years ago.

The group rehearses at the Attleborough Liberal club.

Children and adults alike can get involved in the group by taking part in the shows as actors, actresses and supporting crews or can help continue the success of the group.

Anything goes will run at the Civic Hall in Bedworth from Thursday, June 12 to Saturday, June 14 at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are priced at £11 for adults £11 with £9 concessions.
