On Sunday January 15, the Lawson Piano Trio will present their 50-minute programme Dance Around the World, which will whisk the audience around the world inspired by dance, from ballroom to barn dance.

Specially devised for seven to 11-year-olds, there will be audience participation and the children will come out humming tunes by Grieg, Haydn, Grainger and Stravinsky.

Narrator Polly Ives and Ensemble 360 will bring The Chimpanzees of Happytown to Warwick on Sunday February 12. Aimed at two to seven-year-olds, the performance is is based on the children’s book by Giles Andreae.

The third concert, by the Calfax Reed Quartet and aimed at seven to 11-year-olds, takes place on Sunday March 18, features a line-up of oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bass clarinet and bassoon.

The group have also invented the slide saxophone, which they demonstrate with humour how wind instruments using reeds are made and just what they can do.

All three concerts take place at the Bridge House Theatre in Myton Road.

The Lawson Piano Trio and Ensemble 360 will also visit schools in Leamington and Warwick and deliver master-classes for school-aged reed players on Monday March 19.
