This new take on the traditional tale of Robin Hood sees the outlaw stealing from the rich and keeping the riches himself... until he meets a feisty Maid Marion who forces him to rethink his selfish ways.

Directed by Gisli Orn Gardarsson, the production is great fun although it does seem a little unsure of which boxes it wants to tick, veering between slapstick and gruesome murder.

And, for a show aimed at children of seven and upwards, there is unnecessarily colourful language and some very adult themes.

Borkur Jonsson’s sets are fantastic with a giant slide as a backdrop and a tree above the stage ensuring a good many dramatic entrances and exits.

And the show features some outstanding performances not least from Iris Roberts as the feisty Marion, Martin Hutson as evil Prince John and Olafur Darri Olafsson as the humorous Pierre.

* Until Jan 7
