Rugby Theatre Youth Project are Crazy for you

It's the final curtain for five familiar faces at Rugby Youth Theatre.



Between them Sarah Mageed, Cheryl Griffiths, Sam Watts, Claire Waddington and Ellie Derrick have been in more than 40 youth productions.

They have now all turned 21 – the age limit for the youth section – and are saying goodbye to the group by taking to the stage one last time.

They are among the cast of summer youth project Crazy For You, which opens tonight at Rugby Youth Theatre for a five date run.

The Gershwin musical follows the fortunes of a 1930s playboy who wants to dance. showstopping tunes include I Got Rhythm, They Can’t Take That Away From Me and Someone to Watch Over Me.

More than 70 young performers auditioned for the musical hit and Ricky Healy, who has toured with Lord Of The Dance, leads workshop sessions.

Organisers say the result is Crazy For You is the hottest summer ticket around.
