The future of the school was looking uncertain following the death of city teacher Sylvia Bird, but they are now going from strength to strength and preparing to take to the stage at the Royal Spa Centre in Leamington.

Assistant teacher Julia Feechan, says: “Principals Linda Chamberlain and Joy Thomas, teachers and all out pupils have worked incredibly hard to put this show on while the premises at Brays Lane have been undergoing a massive transformation.

“The work accommodates our school in a new dance studio above Dev Barrett’s new martial arts dojo. Dev brought the premises last September and secured our future. The Sylvia Bird School Of Dance carries on.”

Students will be performing Dancing Delight 2011 at the Royal Spa Centre tomorrow and Saturday.

The show features performers as young as three through to members of the adult classes. Tickets from 01926 334418.
