The Midday Variety Show at the Belgrade Theatre

The feathers will be flying tomorrow as Bernie Clifton and his infamous ostrich provide the laughter at Coventry’s popular Midday Variety Show.



The Bernie Clifton Laughter Show can be seen at the Belgrade Theatre and follows a guest appearance on Peter Kay and Tony Christie’s chart-topping hit Is This The Way To Amarillo?

Bernie is the latest in a string of top names to appear at the Midday Variety Show and Coventry singer Vince Hill received a standing ovation when he recently returned to the city stage.

Brian Walker, who produces the shows with Midlands comedian Malcolm Stent, says: “We’ve had some great dates and some great audiences. We’ve also extended the shows to Solihull Arts Complex this year as well.”

Preparations are already under way for the St George’s Day show special at the Belgrade Theatre on April 23 and Brian promises it will be an unforgettable concert.

He says: “We’ve got a few surprises and some great local talent.”
