Tranmere have signed Jermaine Grandison from Coventry and Arnaud Mendy from Derby on month-long loan deals.Centre-back Grandison, 19, has made eight appearances for Coventry.
Midfielder Mendy, 19, has made just one appearance for Derby in October 2009 and also featured once during a loan spell at Grimsby later that month.
Rovers manager Les Parry told the club's website: "I'm pleased to be able to bring in Jermaine and Arnaud. It gives us more quality."
He added: "I'd like to thank Aidy Boothroyd and Nigel Clough for allowing them to come on loan to us."
The two players will be available for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at home to Accrington Stanley.
