Coventry City FC stadium plans 'progressing'

Plans to return the Sky Blues to Coventry by building a new stadium in partnership with the University of Warwick are "progressing"



The club says it intends to relocate to the south-west edge of the city and build on land owned by the university.

The club left the Ricoh Arena in 2019 at the end of a long-running dispute.

University leaders and the owners and management of the football club held a "productive and very positive formal meeting" according to the university.

"The EFL have been updated regarding the positive steps that have been made and have welcomed the news," a spokesperson said.

More details are not expected to be revealed until early 2021.
