The 18-year-old, who made four league appearances for the Sky Blues last season, goes straight into the squad for the game at Gillingham on Saturday.

"Shaun is a young forward who comes highly recommended by [Coventry manager] Aidy Boothroyd," said Robins boss Mark Yates.

"I've seen him a couple of times and he's strong with bags of potential."

Cheltenham do have an agreement with Coventry to extend the loan deal should they wish to.

"He is just over 6ft tall, he has strength but mobility and can score goals as well," added Yates.

"He will give us some healthy competition for places and I'm sure we have got a very talented player on our hands."
