City have signed striker Clive Platt from Colchester United.Manager Aidy Boothroyd has returned to his former club to sign 6ft 4in Platt for a nominal fee on a one-year deal with a an option for a further year to bolster his attacking options.
The 32-year-old is the club's seventh summer signing and Boothroyd is delighted to have him on board.
He said: "Clive is one of the most under-rated players I've ever worked with - a very unselfish team player who can bind everything together.
"Everyone who plays with him scores goals and I think he can add something to the squad.
"Every squad needs the option of having a good target man and he is very experienced. I hope this will be an Indian summer for his career."
