Boothroyd dismisses Westwood transfer speculation

Coventry City manager Adie Boothroyd says speculation linking goalkeeper Kieren Westwood with a move to Celtic is wide of mark.

The Republic of Ireland international played no part in Wednesday night's goalless draw at Nuneaton Town.

"Kieren had been on international duty at the end of last season and I have given him a few days off," Boothroyd told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

Westwood joined the Sky Blues from Carlisle in 2008 and has made 95 appearances for Coventry in two seasons.

Coventry play their next pre-season friendly on Saturday when they travel to Hinckley.
