Jodi Jones and Duckens Nazon fire Sky Blues to victory after Matt Rhead opens the scoring

Coventry City got back to winning ways with another impressive win on the road, taking the full three points off an in-form Lincoln.

Second half goals from Jodi Jones and Duckens Nazon gave the Sky Blues their second consecutive away victory and inflicted only the second defeat on the Imps at Sincil Bank in over a year.

Mark Robins’s men had to work for the victory, coming from behind after Matt Rhead was left unmarked in the box on 27 minutes to give Danny Cowley’s men the lead into the break.

But a terrific second half fight-back saw Jones get the visitors back in the game with a superb angled finish from the edge of the box before substitute Duckens Nazon scored the winner 20 minutes from time in front of a sell-out at Sincil Bank where City have not been in over 50 years

A total of 1,460 of the Sky Blue Army made the trip and more than played their part in the win with their vocal support throughout an exciting second 45 minutes.

Robins made three changes to his Coventry City side for today’s match at Lincoln where the visitors were looking to bounce back to winning ways after last week’s Ricoh Arena set-back against Mansfield.

The Sky Blues boss was forced into one change at the back where Tom Davies came in, as expected, for the injured Jack Grimmer in City’s first visit to Sincil Bank since 1963.

The centre-half slotted in alongside Rod McDonald in the centre with Jordan Willis switching across to cover for Grimmer – who sat out his first League Two game since joining in the summer – at right-back.

Elsewhere, youngster Jordan Shipley – scorer against Luton in City’s last away trip – came into the side in place of Peter Vincenti, who dropped to the bench.
