Goals from Browne and Olomola handed Yeovil all three points at Huish Park

Coventry City suffered their second consecutive defeat in League Two after going down 2-0 to Yeovil Town at Huish Park.

A goal in either half was enough to hand the Glovers all three points as City failed to turn their possession into goals.

Sky Blues boss Mark Robins made three changes to the side that fell to defeat against Newport County last weekend.

Striker Duckens Nazon came in for Stuart Beavon and Peter Vincenti made way for Tony Andreu, while Dominic Hyam replaced the injured Rod McDonald.

The visitors nearly got off to the perfect start as Jodi Jones skipped past his marker before drilling a left footed shot from outside the box, causing a smart save from Artur Krysiak.

City saw lots of the ball in the opening stages and enjoyed the best move of the first half after Jordan Willis claimed the ball deep in his own half before releasing Tony Andreu along the right flank.

The playmaker found McNulty who played a clever one-two with Doyle before collecting a floated ball in the Yeovil box before drilling his effort wide.

Yeovil then took the lead in the 27th minute when Rhys Browne capitalised on a mix up between Liam O'Brien and Chris Stokes, to emerge with the ball and roll it into an empty net.

The Sky Blues keeper seemed to be at fault for the opener, which followed his mistake for Newport's goal last week.

The first half came to a close with City behind, but there were enough signs to give the visitors encouragement going in at the break.

Despite being a goal down, the Sky Blues began the second period on the back foot as the Glovers looked to double their advantage.

Francois Zoko threatened the City defence with a jinking run before Olufela Olomola saw his effort blocked by Hyam in the box.

After weathering the early storm, Andreu stepped up with the first City chance of the half but his well struck free-kick clattered off Krysiak's right hand post and away from danger.

City's dominance on the game grew as the half wore on and McNulty - who looked sharper in a more advanced position after swapping with Nazon at the break - forced the Yeovil keeper into a point blank save with a close-range header.

But Yeovil then doubled their lead against the run of play after Olomola picked up a loose ball and rode the challenge of Liam Kelly before bursting into the City box and firing past the diving O'Brien.

McNulty was unfortunate not to win a penalty in the final ten minutes after what looked like a clear push in the back by Mugabi, but in the end City were not clinical enough in front of goal and the defeat in Somerset sees them fall to 11th.
