Former Motherwell midfielder Steve Jennings is holding talks with Coventry City, BBC Scotland has learned.The midfielder rejected a new contract with the Scottish Premier League club and is now a free agent.
Coventry, relegated to League One last season, have made no offer as yet, and other English clubs are interested in the player.
Aberdeen manager Craig Brown was also reported to be keen on the 27-year-old, but made no offer.
Liverpool-born Jennings began his career at Tranmere Rovers, making 140 league appearances for the Wirral club.
He moved to Motherwell in 2009, appearing 112 times for the Steelmen, scoring three times.
