Frustrated Coventry City fans have been making their views known - by holding protests at Sisu's London HQ and the Ricoh Arena.

Thousands of Sky Blues fans joined in a "We want Sisu out" chant during Saturday's goal-less draw with Watford - City first point of the season.

That was followed after the match by banner-waving supporters, protesting in the foyer of the Ricoh Arena at the end of the game.

It happened after a small band of City fans caused a stir outside outside the London headquarters of the club's owners.

The fans arrived carrying a ‘SISU OUT’ banner and demanded answers from someone responsible for the football club.

The demonstration calling for SISU to sell up and leave the club took place from 4.30pm before the City’s heartbreaking 2-1 injury time defeat to Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

Robert Brindley, 35, was one of the men singing anti-SISU chants outside the office block.

The trio were told over the office intercom no-one involved in the club was there.

But after half an hour of chanting against SISU, Robert received a phone call from director Leonard Brody from his base in Vancover, Canada.

Robert said: “The woman on the intercom asked for my phone number.

"I said why can’t they come down and talk to us face to face.

“Then Leonard Brody came on the phone.

"He was saying the same old stuff about how we haven’t got any money and times have changed.

“We were just fed up. We wanted to bring it to their doorstep.

"I just wanted to say I’m a Coventry City fan and you are ruining my football club.”

Robert said he was asked by Leonard Brody, who is also a minority shareholder, whether fans would be willing to contribute to a ring fenced transfer fund, which could not be used to service the club’s debts.

Robert, of Caldecott Close, Nuneaton, said this is the first time he has not renewed his season ticket in 19 years in protest at SISU.

“I think it did rock the boat a bit. They seemed shocked when people turned up ringing their buzzer.

"The security bloke starting taking people out the back.

“We weren’t there to cause trouble we just wanted answers. I was at the end of my tether last week.

“If the money doesn’t get spent I told him I’ll return to London with coach loads of fans.

"If three fans can cause this then just think what three coaches could do.

“We need to get the London media involved to embarrass SISU and tell Britain what they are doing to our football club.”

In response to the Telegraph, SISU released a statement saying: “We were visited by three Coventry City fans on Tuesday at our central London office.

“They were very well behaved and one of them had an opportunity to talk to one of our Coventry City board directors Leonard Brody for over an hour.”
