Coventry City will not be letting Clive Platt join Norwich City on loan, reports BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

It is thought the Canaries had enquired about signing the 33-year-old forward for the last eight games of the season.

Norwich manager Paul Lambert is in the market for a striker after Chris Martin and Aaron Wilbraham were sidelined through injury.

But the Sky Blues are reluctant to let Platt go as they struggle near the bottom of the Championship table.

Platt joined City from Lambert's former club Colchester United in July and has scored three goals in 32 appearances.

His side have not won a game since 12 February and are currently without a permanent manager following the sacking of Aidy Boothroyd on 14 March.
