Centre-back Jermaine Grandison is on the verge of making a permanent move to Shrewsbury Town for a nominal fee, the Telegraph understands.
The League Two side and Coventry City are tonight having talks over a permanent deal for the 20-year-old defender, who is a product of City's youth academy.
It is believed that Grandison will sign for Town - where he has been on loan since the middle of Janaury - before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.
Grandison spent several months with Tranmere Rovers earlier this season and appears to be surplus to requirements at the Sky Blues.
