Message board not loading in Firefox browser...

The message board was unavailable between 7.40 and 9.30 this morning due to a random server failure just a few minutes after it was last checked! Apologies to anyone who tried to connect during that period.

I think it was down quite a lot longer than 9.30 Dutchman. I tried sporadically all morning and failed to make a connection. :?

With recent versions of Firefox Rebbonk you often have to clear the cached page by clicking Ctrl+F5 after a site has returned. This wasn't a problem with older versions of Firefox or Internet Explorer.

I use a couple of external sites to monitor the connection, they both confirmed the site was back up and running at around 9.30. One of them is isup.me

If for some reason you can't connect just go to http://isup.me/http://icserver.no-ip.biz/coventry and it will tell you if it's a local or general problem.

The site can also be accessed via a proxy server such as anonymouse.org. Just enter http://icserver.no-ip.biz/coventry in their address box. :)

This article might help?

Personally I think it's ridiculous that Firefox doesn't have an easy user option for this the way Internet Explorer does. :fuming:

Incidentally the same method can be used to restore the download manager box which is missing from Firefox 20 by selecting the entry: browser.download.useToolkitUI, right-click and select "Toggle" which will then change the entry from "false" to "true".
