REMINDER: Clocks went forward...

Postby dutchman » Sun Mar 30, 2025 1:10 am

Clocks went forward by one hour at 1.00am this morning in line with British Summer Time.

The Windows clock bottom right-hand corner of your screen is normally updated automatically.

If this board is still displaying the old time on your PC please go to the User Control Panel and check that "Summer Time/DST is in effect" is enabled in "Board preferences". [Tick "Yes"]

Watch out for this: The off-peak electric was an hour late coming on. I don't mean an hour later than the night before, I mean an hour later than it was supposed to. (It was actually TWO hours later than the previous night).

If I hadn't turned-off the water heater when I did I would have been charged double as its on a fixed timer and not connected to the off-peak box. It would have been even worse if I was doing a load of washing, the amount of power those things use.

Mine changed over OK, I heard the contactor clunk in at 01.10 am.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

An hour late again!

Hot water didn't come on until just before 2.00am which is pretty useless for anyone wanting to wash their hair before going to bed.
