REMINDER: Clocks went back...

Postby dutchman » Sun Oct 27, 2024 2:22 am

Clocks went backwards by one hour this morning in line with Greenwich Mean Time.

Unlike most operating systems the times displayed on the message board do not adjust automatically.

If this board is still displaying the old time on your PC please go to the User Control Panel and check that "Summer Time/DST is in effect" is disabled in "Board preferences". [Tick "No" and then "Submit"]

When putting my bedside clock back an hour I accidentally set the alarm which I haven't used for a very long time.

How long? I last used it to remind me when the grandchildren were coming home from school, before it was closed during lockdown!

I haven't needed it since as they moved to a different part of Coventry.

I changed everything except my watch. That caught me out in the pub Monday evening!
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

If you look closely at the clock icon on an android phone you'll see the little hands on it display the current time, although I'm told kids who grew up with digital clocks are unable to read an analogue display.
