My wife was distraught when she learned the producers of BBC's DIY SOS had rejected her application.

Apparently,
Spoiler:
having a "lazy fat b*st*rd for a husband" didn't meet the show's strict selection criteria.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
