I watched with satisfaction as my mother-in-law ate the last of the shepherd's pie I had baked for her.
"That was absolutely delicious," she said, relishing the last bit... "But tell me, what kind of meat did you use in that? Minced pork?"
"To be honest, I'm not sure what it was," I replied,
