The Roman galley was cruising off the coast of North Africa. It was under sail, so the galley slaves in the 'engine room' were resting on their oars and generally taking things easy.

One of the new arrivals turned to his oppo on the oar, "You know," he said, "This galley slave life isn't as bad as I was told it was going to be. I could get to like this life."

"You know nothing," said his oppo, "Tomorrow, we arrive at Alexandria where we are booked to pick up Anthony and Cleopatra
