Just like it used to be

The Major attended his Regimental reunion in 1949, there he met Smudger Smith who had been his batman throughout the Italian Campaign. The major persuaded Smudger to take up the reins again explaining that his duties as valet would be exactly the same as they'd been during the Italian campaign, making sure kit clean and tidy, boots clean etc. "Don't worry Smudger you'll pick up just where you left off."

First day on the job Smudger goes into the Major's bedroom, gave the major a gentle shake and handed him a mug of hot sweet tea. He then goes round to the other side of the bed, pulls the sheet back spanks the Major's wife and say's
