Saw Michael Portillo at the train station earlier looking immaculate in a pink blazer, yellow shirt and green slacks and I asked if he was filming one of his Great British Railway Documentaries to which he said he was.

"Where are you heading"? says I.

"Devon and Cornwall" he replied.

"First Great Western"? I enquired.

"That would be Brokeback Mountain" he said as he sashayed along the platform.
