Grave situation

I was walking thorough the cemetery today when I met a bloke in a hi-viz vest crying.
"What's the matter mate?", I asked.
"Cyril Smith's died", he replied.
"Oh, I'm sorry mate, were you close?" I continued.
"Never met the bloke. Ever." the workman sobbed.
"So why the crying?" I asked.
