Trip to the cobbler's

"Good morning, cobbler. I found this ticket for a repair to his shoes among my father's things when I was going through them recently. He died in 1984. Do you still have the shoes?"
"Well, sir. This place has changed hands twice since then, but I'll see if I can find them."
He goes down to the cellar and a few minutes later emerges triumphantly, waving a pair of shoes.
