Phillip Schofield, Gordon the Gopher reunited

Phillip Schofield and Gordon the Gopher have been reunited on This Morning to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the CBBC Broom Cupboard.



The popular children's puppet, who co-presented with Schofield during his children's TV days in the Broom Cupboard and on Going Live!, was introduced to viewers by Schofield's This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby.

"Well aren't you going to say anything? You know, big day," she said. "Your anniversary! No, not your wedding anniversary... the other, well, some may say more important anniversary.

"Today is the anniversary of the start of the Broom Cupboard!"

When reunited with the puppet, Schofield said: "It's lovely to see you Gordon, you're looking remarkably good!" The presenter then joked that Gordon had asked him whether Willoughby's figure was all natural. The host commented: "Oh yes, they are! Absolutely. Yes," which prompted Willoughby to laugh.

After Willoughby joked that Schofield must miss working with Gordon, he replied: "I do actually. He's looking good though, isn't he? That's three months in the Priory!"
