Idiotic speculation in the press as to which 'actor' will be playing the part, ignoring the fact that the BBC has yet to select a 'showrunner' to replace Chris Chibnall and it will be entirely up to him or her to decide who plays the part. In all likelihood it will probably be an actor or actress who has been closely associated with the new showrunner in the past.
So, until we know who the next showrunner will be it's entirely pointless to speculate on who the next lead actor might be.
Personally I couldn't care less as the show lost any attraction it may have had even before the current abomination.
