Fuming Bargain Hunt fans showed a callous disregard for the death of Prince Philip as they raged over the rescheduling of the show.

The death of the Duke of Edinburgh at the age of 99 was announced by Buckingham Palace on Friday morning.

TV schedules were quickly altered to make way for news broadcasts and tribute pieces to the Queen's husband who died at Windsor Castle today.

But as tributes poured in, some fans of Bargain Hunt took to social media to slam the decision to pull it from the day's schedule reports The Daily Star.

Taking to Twitter, one unhappy fan moaned: "I have nothing against Prince Philip but did the BBC really need to cancel Bargain Hunt?"

Another added: "It’s on every bloody channel!!! Where’s Bargain Hunt gone?"

A third person posted: "Uh oh. Just realised Bargain Hunt was cancelled to make way for the tributes to Prince Philip. My mum is gonna be furious."

While a fourth social media user said: "The is b****y ridiculous. No bargain Hunt?"

"OK, we get it, PrincePhilip has died, but where is Bargain Hunt?"

On ITV, the broadcast of This Morning was ended abruptly as the hosts passed over the ITN news studio. Loose Women was also pulled from the early afternoon schedule.
