Channel 4 has ordered a new cookery show from Jamie Oliver.Thirty Minute Meals will see the chef produce "exciting, varied and seasonal" dishes in half an hour.
According to PA, the channel has ordered 40 episodes of the programme and will air the first 20 this autumn.
Channel 4's commissioning editor for factual entertainment Dominique Walker said: "Jamie's Thirty Minute Meals is a brilliantly simple idea.
"The series gives Jamie a chance to do what he does best - coming up with clever and inspiring dishes and making them accessible in Jamie's inimitable way. You wouldn't believe that you can cook such ambitious meals in less than half an hour."
The show will feature ideas for main courses, side dishes, desserts and drinks and "aims to show that anyone can get a delicious feast on the table in less time than it takes a takeaway pizza to arrive".
Channel 4 has also revealed that it will broadcast Oliver's recent American series Jamie's American Food Revolution in the autumn.
Recent reports revealed that Oliver is planning to set up a school for one of his future television projects.
