She stood in for Diana Rigg in one episode of The Avengers when Diana was not available for some reason, she was quite good too. 
The episode was called "The Girl from Auntie". It was extremely clever how they explained the change of actress and Steed's reaction to her. The producers may have been hinting that Rigg was not all that indispensible to the series?
