Great entertainer he will be greatly missed R.I.P

My mum went to the Hippodrome to see him in the late 70s, early 80s. She reckoned he was brilliant. Apparently, he did a longer encore than Ken Dodd!

I used to beg to be allowed to stay up to watch "Beat the Clock" at the London Palladium. Was amazed to find out decades later that he only got the job because of a row between Tommy Trinder and Lew Grade. (Grade was Forsyth's theatrical agent at the time).
