After hosting David Haye's big boxing comeback, comedy channel Dave is stepping up to the oche to broadcast this year's BDO World Trophy live.
Frank Warren has partnered with UKTV and the event will come to the comedy channel ive from Lakeside on May 28-30 - the late Bank Holiday Weekend.
There'll be a whopping ten hours of live coverage available free-to-air every day, with proceedings kicking off at noon each day of the tournament.
World Champions Scott Waites and Trina Gulliver MBE join Glen Durrant, Martin Adams, Scott Mitchell, Deta Hedman and Lisa Ashton, as well as wildcards Jeff Smith, Andy Fordham and Ted Hankey, to compete for the £150,000 prize.
Frank Warren said: "In my opinion, Dave is the perfect channel for the event and with it taking place at Lakeside, the iconic home of British darts, I am sure the atmosphere will be electric."
Dave general manager Steve North added: "After the incredible experience we had with the David Haye fight at the start of the year we are delighted to be delving further into the sporting world by partnering with the BDO in what is a fantastic opportunity to offer fans extended live coverage of the BDO World Trophy."
Director of commissioning at UKTV Richard Watsham hinted at yet more sports events on the channel and said: "This is an important step for Dave as we continue to expand into important new genres such as live sport."
