Text Santa attracts 3.74 million viewers for ITV on Friday

Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day attracted an average audience of 3.74 million viewers (19.9%) on Friday evening (December 18).

The three-hour charity pledge show kicked off at 8pm on ITV.

The One Show topped BBC One's evening with 3.53m (19.5%) at 7pm, A Question of Sport brought in 2.97m (15.4%) at 7.30pm and Citizen Khan attracted 2.55m (13%) at 8.30pm.

Have I Got News For You picked up 3.36m (16.6%) viewers at 9pm and Peter Kay's Car Share entertained 2.32m (11.7%) at 9.30pm.

BBC Two kicked off the evening with Tom Kerridge Cooks Christmas, which saw 1.08m (6%) tune in at 7pm. An average audience of 1.57m (8.2%) tuned in at 7.30pm for Mary Berry's Absolute Christmas Favourites.

Mastermind attracted 1.92m (9.5%) at 8pm and An Island Parish: Falklands brought in 1.63m (8.3%) at 8.30pm.

TFI Friday Christmas Special entertained 1.2m (6.3%) on Channel 4 at 7.30pm. As ever, Gogglebox was top with 2.98m (14.9%) at 9pm and Alan Carr: Chatty Man was seen by 1.10m (6.5%) at 10pm.

Over on Channel 5, Ultimate Strongman Masters World Championship attracted 444k (2.4%) at 7pm, Ice Road Truckers entertained 649k (3.3%) at 8pm and Nicolas Cage's Con Air pulled in 761k (4.3%) of viewers at 9pm.
