Have I got News For You topped Friday night (December 11) television with over 4 million viewers tuning in to watch the BBC One series.
With David Mitchell in the host's chair, an average audience of 4.7 million viewers (20.3%) tuned in at 9pm.
Earlier, The One Show attracted 3.50m (19.7%) at 7pm, A Question of Sport brought in 2.92m (15.4%) at 7.30pm and Citizen Khan had 2.34m (11.7%) viewers at 8.30pm.
The evening ended with 3.05m (23.6%) for The Graham Norton Show.
Over on BBC Two, Celebrity Antiques entertained1.26m (6.9%) at 7pm, Mastermind intrigued 1.81m (9.3%) at 8pm and An Island Parish: Falklands drew 1.60m (8%) at 8.30pm.
Gogglebox, as ever, topped Channel 4's Friday night with 3.41m (17.4%) tuning in.
TFI Friday was seen by 1.29m (6.5%) at 8pm and 1.70m (10.9%) tuned into see Lady C and One Direction on Alan Carr: Chatty Man at 10pm.
Piers Morgan's Life Stories reeled in 2.17m (11.1.%) at 9pm, while Gino's Italian Escape was ITV's highest-rated show outside of soaps, entertaining 2.41m (12.4%) at 8pm.
Channel 5 saw The World's Ultimate Strongest Man attract 259k (1.4%) at 7pm and Ice Road Truckers play to 742k (3.8%) at 8pm.
To get everyone even more excited for the upcoming film, The Definitive History of Star Wars attracted 581k (3%) at 9pm and How Star Wars Changed the World pulled in 526k (3.2%) at 10pm.
