Vicky Pattison's I'm a Celebrity victory seen by 9.45m

Vicky Pattison is queen of the jungle on I'm a Celebrity - and her excitable victory celebrations were seen by over 9 million viewers last night.

The Geordie Shore star's triumph was watched by an audience of 9.45m (40.6%), according to overnight ratings data. Ratings were down on last year's overnight figure of 10.21m - but audience share roughly matched 2014's figure of 40.7%.

A further 281k (1.9%) caught the result on ITV+1, while 1.14m (9.4%) tuned in for spinoff show I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Now! on ITV2 at 10.35pm.

Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing maintained its commanding overnight ratings lead over The X Factor - although the ITV show reduced the gap week-on-week to 3.6 million against last week's 4 million.

Helen George's exit on Strictly was seen by 10.15m (43%) between 7.15pm and 8pm, while Lauren Murray's departure from The X Factor brought in 6.55m (27.1%) between 8pm and 9pm (+1: 156k/0.6%).

Elsewhere on BBC One - Countryfile was seen by 7.17m (33.9%) from 6.15pm, while Antiques Roadshow aired to 6.15m (25.4%) from 8pm. David Attenborough's acclaimed series The Hunt continued with 3.97m (16.3%) at 9pm.

Over on ITV, Jekyll and Hyde was up slightly on last week with 1.74m (7.4%) at 7pm (165k/0.7% on +1).

BBC Two's snooker coverage averaged 1.37m (5.8%) from 7pm, peaking with 1.63m (7.2%) at 10pm as Neil Robertson beat Liang Wenbo to take the UK Championship - making headlines with a maximum 147 break.

Homeland continued with 1.02m (4.2%) at 9pm on Channel 4, while Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained entertained 732k (7.2%) from 10pm on Channel 5.
