BBC Two's new attempt to replicate the success of The Great British Bake Off ​didn't exactly set the ratings alight on Tuesday.

The Great Pottery Throw Down ​attracted an average overnight audience of 1.88 million (9.0%) at 9pm. Earlier, Autumnwatch ​brought in 2.40m (11.3%) at 8pm.

On BBC One, River ​continued with 2.65m (12.6%) at 9pm.

ITV's ​penultimate Lewis ​topped the ratings overall outside soaps with 3.66m (17.4%) at 9pm (317,000/2.2% on +1). Before, Eternal Glory​ battled on with 1.49m (7.0%) at 8pm.

On Channel 4, The Secret Life of 4-Year-Olds ​intrigued 2.19m (10.3%) at 8pm (296k/1.4%), followed by 24 Hours in A&E with 1.98m (9.4%) at 9pm (494k/3.4%) and Catastrophe ​with 781k (4.9%) at 10pm (136k/1.6%).

Channel 5's cute documentary Pets Who Hate Vets ​attracted 1.37m (6.5%) at 8pm (117k/0.6%), while Eamonn and Ruth's How the Other Half Live ​was seen by 1.22m (5.8%) at 9pm (103k/0.7%). CSI: Cyber ​thrilled 580k (3.8%) at 10pm.

On Sky1, The Flash ​continued to thrill 473k (2.2%) at 8pm, followed by The Moaning of Life ​with 415k (2.0%) at 9pm.

MTV's Geordie Shore ​entertained 370k (2.5%) at 10pm.
