The X Factor viewers didn't appear to be that bothered about the new live Judges' Houses weekend, as it lost around 1.2 million viewers from last Sunday.
ITV's talent show attracted an average overnight audience of 6.12m (25.5%) at 7.30pm (353,000/1.6% on +1), its second-lowest rated episode of the series so far.
Its main rival Strictly Come Dancing averaged 8.66m (35.8%) to top the night at 7.15pm. During the overlap at 7.30pm, Strictly was seen by 8.79m (35.8%), while X Factor gathered 4.91m (20.0%).
Countryfile interested 7.05m (33.8%) at 6.30pm, while Antiques Roadshow appealed to 5.57m (23.5%) at 8pm. From Darkness continued with 2.88m (13.1%) at 9pm.
On ITV, Jekyll & Hyde debuted with 3.15m (14.8%) at 6.30pm (204k/0.8%), while Downton Abbey was the second highest-rated show of the night with 7.23m (32.8%) at 9pm (415k/2.9%).
Channel 4's Great Canal Journeys was seen by 1.43m (6.1%) at 8pm (290k/1.3%), followed by Homeland with 716k (3.4%) at 9pm (182k/1.3%).
On BBC Two, Britain's Ultimate Pilot attracted 1.36m (6.2%) at 9pm, while Channel 5's coverage of the MTV EMAs entertained 412k (2.3%) at 9pm. On ITVBe, TOWIE continued with 500k (3.3%) at 10pm.
