The Walking Dead gave FOX UK its highest overnight audience ever on Monday night, bringing in an average 854,000 (4.4%) at 9pm.
The season six premiere was easily the most-watched Pay TV channel for its timeslot, and is expected to have at least 2 million consolidated viewers based on previous performances.
Elsewhere, Channel 4's celebrity edition of First Dates entertained 1.72 million (8.6%) at 9pm (303k/2.2% on +1), after Food Unwrapped gathered 1.62m (7.9%) at 8.30pm.
ITV's coverage of England's final Euro 2016 qualifier scored 3.98m (19.7%) on average from 7.15pm.
A rather quiet evening saw BBC One's Inside Out as the most-watched show outside of soaps with 4.06m (21.0%) at 7.30pm. Crimewatch was seen by 3.14m (15.5%) at 9pm.
On BBC Two, University Challenge quizzed 2.57m (11.7%) at 8pm, followed by Only Connect with 2.18m (10.6%) at 8.30pm.
Channel 5's Autopsy: Joan Rivers interested 1.07m (5.3%) at 9pm (128k/0.9%).
