Bake Off dominates Wednesday with 9.8m viewers

The Great British Bake Off showed no signs of slowing down in the ratings on Wednesday evening, overnight data shows.

Last night's episode of arctic rolls and pitta breads attracted an average audience of 9.83 million (43.8%) at 8pm on BBC One, up from last week by around 300,000 viewers.

Sue Perkins had a good night as her Kolkata programme followed at 9pm with 4.56m (22.9%).

On BBC Two, Great British Menu brought in 1.42m (7.1%) at 7.30pm, followed by Horizon with 896k (4.0%) at 8pm and Ascent of Woman with 738k (3.7%) at 9pm.

ITV's You Saw Them Here First entertained 2.13m (9.5%) at 8pm (147k/0.7% on +1), while new show The Nick intrigued 2.44m (12.3%) at 9pm.

On Channel 4, Posh Pawn appealed to 1.08m (4.8%) at 8pm (262k/1.3%), followed by One Born Every Minute with 1.23m (6.2%) at 9pm (211k/1.4%) and Katie Piper's Extraordinary Births with 923k (6.3%) at 10pm (119k/1.6%).

Channel 5's Nightmare Neighbour Next Door fascinated 1.03m (4.6%) at 8pm, while Celebrity Big Brother continued to surprise 1.21m (6.1%) at 9pm (183k/1.2%). Wentworth Prison thrilled 621k (4.1%) at 10pm.

On BBC Three, Don't Tell the Bride amused 664k (3.3%) at 9pm, while Trains that Time Forgot educated 691k (3.5%) at 9pm on BBC Four.
