Educating Cardiff schools 1.6m on Channel 4

Educating Cardiff got off to a strong start on Channel 4 on Tuesday (August 25), according to overnight figures.

The behind-the-scenes look at Willows High School in Wales appealed to 1.58m (7.8%) at 9pm, while a further 219k (1.5%) tuned in an hour later on +1.

However, the launch is down slightly on the 1.80m who watched the first episode of Educating the East End last year.

Earlier in the evening, The Three Day Nanny averaged 1.05m (5.3%) at 8pm (118k/0.6% on +1).

BBC One's New Tricks was the night's most-watched programme outside of soaps with 4.97m (24.3%) at 9pm.

On BBC Two, Natural World brought in 1.97m (10.0%) at 8pm, before The World's Busiest Railway 2015 gathered 2.13m (10.5%) at 9pm, and Goodness Gracious Me interested 1.24m (7.4%) at 10pm.

ITV's Bargain Fever Britain intrigued 2.21m (11.2%) at 8pm (76k/0.4%), while School Swap: The Class Divide was watched by 1.17m (5.7%) at 9pm (121k/0.8%).

Over on Channel 5, The Dog Rescuers with Alan Davies dipped to 932k (4.8%) at 8pm (126k/0.6%), while The Great Big Benefits Wedding entertained 955k (4.7%) at 9pm (41k/0.3%). 12 Years Old and on Benefits followed with 623k (4.1%) at 10pm (42k/0.5%).

How stupid can they get, putting a school documentary on ITV and Channel 4 at the same time? :clown:
