'Rip Off Britain' brings in 3.8 million viewers on Tuesday

Rip Off Britain topped the ratings outside of soaps on Tuesday (July 28), according to overnight figures.

The BBC One series brought in 3.83m (21.5%) at 7pm, while Crimewatch interested 3.37m (17.3%) at 9pm.

On BBC Two, The Hairy Bikers Come Home averaged 860k (4.8%) at 7pm, before The Pennine Way gathered 1.82m (9.7%) at 7.30pm, and The House That £100k Built was seen by 1.63m (8.5%) at 8pm. Great Ormond Street followed with 1.69m (8.7%) at 9pm.

ITV's A Great Welsh Adventure with Griff Rhys Jones appealed to 1.86m (10.0%) at 7.30pm (101k/0.5% on +1), and Love Your Garden was enjoyed by 2.56m (13.4%) at 8pm (260k/1.3%). Brits Behind Bars intrigued 1.83m (9.4%) at 9pm (184k/1.2%).

Channel 4's The Three Day Nanny brought in 980k (5.1%) at 8pm (202k/1.0%), and Child Genius fascinated 1.22m (6.3%) at 9pm (208k/1.4%).

The Dog Rescuers with Alan Davies was watched by 1.14m (6.0%) on Channel 5 at 8pm, before Benefits by the Sea interested 926k (4.8%) at 9pm (138k/0.9%), and Botched Up Bodies shocked 708k (4.5%) at 10pm (75k/0.9%).

Meanwhile, E4's Tattoo Fixers entertained 527k (3.5%) at 10pm.

I didn't watch last night's show but I caught a bit of last week's and thought they were merely overstating the obvious.
