The Met: Policing London tops Monday night with 4.1m viewers

The Met: Policing London topped the ratings outside of soaps on Monday (June 29), according to overnight data.

The documentary continued with 4.05m (20.8%) at 9pm, gaining more than 300,000 viewers week-on-week.

Earlier, Nigel Slater: Eating Together appealed to 2.46m (13.8%) at 7.30pm, and Panorama interested 1.76m (8.8%) at 8.30pm.

On BBC Two, Wimbledon 2day rounded up the day's events for 1.34m (6.8%) at 8.30pm, before coverage of the RHS Hampton Court Palace Show brought in 1.23m (6.3%) at 9.30pm.

Episodes followed with 770k (4.4%) at 10pm, while Newsnight aired to 650k (5.6%) at 10.30pm.

ITV's Countrywise averaged 2.40m (12.8%) at 8pm (92k/0.5% on +1), before Vicious amused 2.17m (11.1%) at 9pm (67k/0.4%), and It's a Funny Old Week entertained 1.22m (6.3%) at 9.30pm (81k/0.6%).

On Channel 4, Dispatches informed 1.09m (5.8%) at 8pm (248k/1.3%), while The Real Story interested 1.71m (8.6%) at 8.30pm (313k/1.6%). Kevin McCloud's Escape to the Wild continued with 1.97m (10.2%) at 9pm (265k/1.7%), and Man Down entertained 570k (3.3%) at 10pm (84k/1.0%).

Big Brother remained steady with 1.09m (5.6%) on Channel 5 at 9pm (159k/1.0%), while Under the Dome thrilled 648k (4.2%) at 10pm (66k/0.8%).

Love Island brought in 489k (3.2%) at 9pm on ITV2, while the latest episode of My Mad Fat Diary gathered 268k (1.7%) at 10pm on E4.
