'Vicious' returns to ITV with 3 million viewers on Monday

Vicious returned to ITV up on its first series finale, according to overnight figures for Monday (June 1).

Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Derek Jacobi's divisive sitcom aired to 2.99m (14.1%) at 9pm (97k/0.6% on +1). The final episode of series one brought in 2.77m (12.2%) overnight in June 2013, giving the series an increase of 220,000 viewers.

Earlier, Johnny Kingdom's Wild Exmoor interested 2.72m (12.5%) at 8pm (83k/0.4%), while Off Their Rockers entertained 1.77m (9.3%) at 9.30pm.

BBC One's Panorama was seen by 2.23m (9.9%) at 8.30pm, while Rome's Invisible City gathered 4.37m (20.7%) at 9pm to be the most watched programme outside of the soaps on Monday.

Meanwhile, Sky Atlantic's Game of Thrones epic thrilled 1.00m (4.8%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's Antiques Road Trip brought in 1.36m (6.6%) at 7pm, before Springwatch averaged 2.55m (11.5%) at 8pm, and Outbreak: The Truth About Ebola informed 880k (4.2%) at 9pm. Episodes followed with 720k (4.1%) at 10pm.

On Channel 4, Dispatches intrigued 1.00m (4.6%) at 8pm (112k/0.5%), while Gadget Man was watched by 920k (4.1%) at 8.30pm (73k/0.4%). An emotional episode of Benefits Street moved 1.86m (8.8%) at 9pm (245k/1.6%) at 9pm, and Man Down amused 970k (5.7%) at 10pm (145k/1.7%).

Inside Manchester's Midland Hotel impressed 992k (4.7%) on Channel 5 at 9pm (80k/0.5%), while Big Brother continued with 1.03m (6.6%) at 10pm (83k/1.1%).

E4's Made in Chelsea continued with 497k (2.4%) at 9pm.
