Britain's Got Talent final dominates with 11.4m on Sunday

Britain's Got Talent 2015 bowed out with big numbers on Sunday (May 31), according to overnight figures.

The live final - which saw Jules O'Dwyer and Matisse the dog crowned champions - was watched by 11.37m (46.6%) between 7.30pm and 10pm, while a further 335k (1.5%) tuned in on +1.

At its peak, last night's final was watched by 13.4 million viewers and had an audience share of 52%.

The talent competition has also enjoyed a ratings boost in comparison to last year's final, which brought in overnight ratings of 10.32m. However, last year's final did attract a larger average audience share with 49%.

BBC One's Countryfile was the second most-watched programme of the evening, with 5.80m (27.5%) at 7pm. Later, Antiques Roadshow interested 4.40m (17.6%) at 8pm, and Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell gathered 2.17m (8.9%) at 9pm.

Over on BBC Two, Demolition averaged 1.26m (5.0%) at 8pm, before Armada: 12 Days to Save England transfixed 1.71m (7.0%) at 9pm, and Rev entertained 750k (4.1%) at 10pm.

Channel 4's For The Love of Cars was seen by 920k (3.7%) at 8pm (143k/0.6% on +1), while Leonardo DiCaprio's Shutter Island thrilled 1.11m (6.1%) at 9pm, and a further 374k (3.4%) on +1.

On Channel 5, the latest episode of Big Brother brought in 1.03m (6.1%) at 10pm (82k/0.9% on +1).

Meanwhile, Britain's Got More Talent concluded with 763k (4.5%) on ITV2 at 10pm.
