Arsenal's FA Cup triumph watched by 7.5 million on BBC One

BBC One's coverage of this year's FA Cup final attracted nearly 7.5 million viewers yesterday (May 30), according to overnight figures.

Arsenal's 4-0 triumph over Aston Villa averaged 7.47m (43.8%) from 5.15pm.

The National Lottery: Who Dares Wins managed 4.1m (22.1%) later on, with Casualty and The John Bishop Show watched by 4.2m (22.2%) and 3.44m (19.5%) respectively.

On BBC Two, a Dad's Army repeat entertained 1.67m (9%) from 8.30pm, before an airing of Quartet appealed to 1.12m (6.1%).

ITV's Ninja Warrior UK closed with 3.8m (20.4%) from 7.30pm. Afterwards, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 appealed to 3.13m (17.7%).

Over on Channel 4, Daniel Radcliffe movie The Woman in Black averaged 752k (4.2%) from 9pm.

On Channel 5, the latest Big Brother highlights interested 743k (3.9%) in the 9pm hour.

The multichannels were topped by ITV3's Foyle's War, which was watched by 682k (3.6%) from 8pm.
