Britain's Got Talent rises to 8.2m for third semi-final

Britain's Got Talent was a ratings winner for ITV once again on Wednesday (May 27), according to overnight figures.

The show was up 400,000 viewers night-on-night with 8.2m (38.8%) for its third live semi-final between 7.30pm and 9pm, while a further 269,000 (1.2%) tuned in on ITV+1.

The results show - which saw UDI and Jamie Raven win places in the grand final - was seen by 6.92m (31.7%) at 9.30pm (317k/2.3% on +1).

On BBC One, Traffic Cops thrilled 2.40m (11.0%) at 8pm, while New Tricks continued with 2.06m (9.4%) at 9pm.

BBC Two's A Cook Abroad interested 740k (4.0%) at 7pm, before Springwatch gathered 1.75m (8.1%) at 8pm, and Modern Times brought in 740k (3.8%) at 9.30pm. Newsnight followed with 630k (4.9%) at 10.30pm.

The Supervet averaged 620k (2.8%) for Channel 4 at 8pm (146k/0.7%), while 24 Hours in A&E intrigued 1.66m (7.5%) at 9pm (361k/2.3%).

Channel 5's Benefits Britain: Me and My 14 Kids was seen by 947k (4.3%) at 9pm (93k/0.6%), and Big Brother continued with 885k (5.6%) at 10pm (84k/1.1%). Big Brother's Bit on the Side entertained 378k (4.7%) at 11pm (23k/0.6%).

E4's US imports Jane the Virgin and Nashville continued with 114k (0.5%) at 9pm and 134k (0.8%) at 10pm respectively.

Meanwhile, Britain's Got More Talent aired to 436k (2.8%) on ITV2 at 10pm.
