Britain's Got Talent continues with 9.5 million viewers

Britain's Got Talent dominated primetime last night (April 18) with an audience of more than 9.5 million, according to overnight figures.

The ITV reality show averaged 9.54m (44.1%) from 8pm, with a further 537k (2.7%) watching on +1.

Ninja Warrior UK appealed to 3.54m (19.6%) in the 7pm hour, and Play to the Whistle managed 2.54m (12.9%) from 9.15pm.

BBC One's Atlantis continued with 2.58m (11.8%) from 8.25pm. The National Lottery Live was watched by 2.52m (11.6%) before the latest Casualty treated 4.21m (21.6%).

On BBC Two, a Dad's Army repeat entertained 1.24m (5.9%) and a screening of Jane Eyre averaged 1.05m (5.2%).

Over on Channel 4, The World's Most Extreme was seen by 837k (3.9%) in the 8pm hour. X-Men: First Class followed with an audience of 1.08m (6.4%).

Channel 5's latest episode of CSI garnered 741k (4.7%) from 10.10pm.

The multichannels were topped by ITV2's Britain's Got More Talent, which was watched by 1.21m (6.2%) from 9.15pm.
